Suvendu Adhikari Claims Bhaipo Gang Funded PA's Murder

West Bengal Leader of the Opposition Suvendu Adhikari alleged that the Bhaipo gang arranged Rs 2 crore to fund the murder of his personal assistant, Chandranath Rath. Rath was shot dead in May this year, shortly after the Bharatiya Janata Party came to power in West Bengal. Adhikari stated that the Central Bureau of Investigation is probing the inter-state crime and has arrested seven suspects so far. He claimed that call records link individuals from Diamond Harbour to the handover of funds to contract killers. The Trinamool Congress responded by reposting its May statements condemning political violence in the state.
