Syndrela Das Wins Double Titles Ahead of Asian Games Debut

Seventeen-year-old table tennis player Syndrela Das celebrated her birthday by winning both the Under-19 and women's singles titles at the UTT National Ranking Table Tennis Championships in Kanpur. Das defeated Tamil Nadu's Ananya Muralidharan 4-1 in the U-19 final and overcame Maharashtra's Divyanshi Bhowmick 4-2 in the women's final. The Kolkata-based athlete played seven matches throughout the day to secure both victories. Das is set to become the youngest Indian athlete to compete in the upcoming 2026 Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan. She previously finished as the runner-up at the Senior Nationals in Indore in March.
