Taiwan's coastguard confronted and drove away 16 Chinese coastguard, research, and fishing vessels involved in simultaneous maritime operations. The Taiwanese coastguard described the unusual deployment around Taiwan's main island and the disputed Pratas island as hybrid warfare. Four Chinese fishing boats took part in simultaneous operations that entered restricted Taiwanese waters. Taiwanese authorities stated that their vessels took forceful action immediately to neutralize the threats.
