Tamil Nadu Assembly Seeks TET Exemption for Senior Teachers

School Education Minister Rajmohan moved the resolution, which urges the Union government to amend Section 23 of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009. The move aims to protect over 3.28 lakh teachers who face potential service termination or promotion hurdles following a recent Supreme Court order. The state government is requesting the National Council for Teacher Education to issue a formal notification to formalise this exemption.
