Tanvi Sharma defeated top-seeded Malvika Bansod in a tight quarterfinal 21-18, 15-21, 21-14 to advance to the Vietnam Open semifinals. Third seed Isharani Baruah secured her spot by beating Huang Ching Ping with 21-15, 21-18 scores. In her match, Sharma overcame a 13-6 first-set deficit by winning 10 consecutive points to level the game. She will face the winner of the Thai clash between Tonrug Saeheng and Sarunrak Vitidsarn. Baruah is set to play either Rakshitha Sree or Mansi Singh next.
