The collaboration will produce a midsize Jeep SUV based on Tata Sierra’s ARGOS architecture, internally codenamed J1J. Both internal combustion and electric powertrains are planned for the new vehicle, with a potential market debut in the first half of 2028. Vehicles developed through the partnership will be manufactured at Fiat India Automobiles Private Limited, the existing 50:50 joint venture facility in Ranjangaon. The programme is designed to serve requirements across more than 50 global markets.
