Tata Motors Rebrands Passenger Vehicle Business As Tata.Cars
· Automobile · MotorBeam, RushLane
Tata Motors has launched Tata.Cars as its new customer-facing identity for all passenger vehicles, including petrol, diesel, and electric models. The company will retain Tata.ev as a distinct sub-brand for its electric portfolio, which will now operate under the broader Tata.Cars umbrella. This transition is a branding and retail strategy and does not change the company’s legal name, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles, or its existing corporate structure. The new identity will be rolled out gradually across dealerships, digital platforms, and service facilities in India. As part of the update, the company is introducing a new visual design system called Parallel Pathways, featuring Ambition Blue as the primary brand colour and a custom typeface named Parallel Display.
Why it matters
The rebranding aims to unify the company's retail presence under a single identity, potentially simplifying the customer experience across its diverse range of internal combustion and electric vehicles.
