TCL Sues Samsung Over Alleged False Mini LED Advertising

TCL North America has filed a lawsuit in a Los Angeles federal court accusing Samsung Electronics America of falsely marketing its M Model televisions as having Mini LED technology. The complaint alleges that Samsung's M Model sets are actually standard LED televisions, similar to its Crystal UHD line, and lack the advanced display features of genuine Mini LED products. TCL, which pioneered the technology, claims Samsung's labeling has misled consumers and diverted sales. According to the lawsuit, Samsung's sales of the M Model increased nearly fourfold in less than three months.
