Nineteen-year-old Ayush Mhatre has been appointed vice-captain of the Mumbai cricket team for the upcoming Ranji Trophy season, with Siddhesh Lad named as captain. Selectors, led by chairman Rajesh Powar, selected the teenager to groom him for future leadership roles following his recovery from a long injury lay-off. Mhatre previously captained India to victory in the Under-19 World Cup last year.
