Seventeen-year-old Syndrela Das secured both the under-19 girls’ title and the women’s singles trophy at a national ranking tournament in Kanpur. The West Bengal paddler navigated seven matches on her birthday, defeating Ananya Muralidharan in the youth final and Divyanshi Bhowmick in the senior decider. Her path to the senior crown included a challenging semifinal victory against Swastika Ghosh. Syndrela is currently the youngest member of the Indian squad for the upcoming Asian Games 2026. She previously finished as the runner-up at the Senior Nationals in Indore earlier this year.
