Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Tejashwi Prasad Yadav met a 12-year-old boy in Patna who alleged he was assaulted by youths for filming mustard-oil lamps lit during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday event. The opposition leader accused Bharatiya Janata Party supporters of manhandling the child and claimed that police pressured him to change his statement. In a video interaction posted online, the fifth-standard student stated that he was targeted after recording the use of mustard-oil lamps. BJP state spokesperson Prem Ranjan Patel rejected the allegations as completely false, stating the video was fabricated with malicious intent to defame the party. The police administration has not issued a formal statement on the alleged intimidation charges.
