Telangana High Court Directs DGP to Draft Police Protection SOPs

The Telangana High Court has ordered the Director General of Police to develop Standard Operating Procedures for providing police protection to decree holders. Chief Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh and Justice G.M. Mohiuddin observed that many citizens are forced to approach the High Court repeatedly to enforce civil court orders. The bench cited a case from Yadadri Bhongir district where a couple struggled to secure their property despite a court decree. The court granted the government three weeks to consult with the DGP on the matter.
