Telangana Invites Private Partners to Revive 11 Historic Forts Under PPP Model

The Telangana government has invited private investors to develop 11 historic forts across the state under a Public-Private Partnership model. The initiative aims to transform heritage sites into sustainable, experience-led tourism destinations while ensuring their conservation. The directorate of tourism issued a notification on August 17 seeking partners for the conceptualisation, development, operation, and maintenance of the forts. The identified sites include Bhongir, Devarakonda, Rachakonda, Medak, Khammam, Kaulas, Zaffergadh, Elgandal, Ramagiri, Utnoor, and Sarvai Papanna. The last date for submitting expressions of interest is August 27, with pre-qualification bids scheduled for August 28 and presentations by selected partners on September 1.
