The Telangana government activated a helpline and coordination centre at Telangana Bhavan in New Delhi to assist residents stranded in Nepal following recent flash floods. Family members in Telangana seeking to trace relatives, pilgrims, or tourists can contact the helpline by providing passport details, mobile numbers, and last known locations. Authorities released three specific mobile numbers—9871999044, 9949351270, and 9618597969—to facilitate coordination with rescue teams. The state-level intervention comes as flash floods in Nepal have left at least 95 people dead and more than 400 reported missing, including 133 Indian nationals. Other states like Kerala have also established emergency help desks for affected citizens.
