Telangana SIR Deadline Extended to November 30 by ECI

The Election Commission of India has extended the deadline for the Special Intensive Revision of Electoral Rolls in Telangana by three weeks to November 30, 2026. Under the revised schedule announced in Hyderabad, the publication date for the final electoral rolls moves from November 9 to November 30. The phase for submitting and disposing of claims and objections now runs until November 26 instead of November 5. The schedule adjustment follows a formal request submitted to the ECI by Telangana Chief Electoral Officer C. Sudharsan Reddy on October 29.
Why it matters
The extension gives voters and election officials in Telangana additional time to verify electoral rolls and clear pending claims before the final publication.
