Telangana Targets ₹15,000 Crore for Zaheerabad Smart City

Telangana’s Industries and IT Minister D. Sridhar Babu said in a Hyderabad meeting that the Zaheerabad Industrial Smart City would be operational by March 2028, with an investment target of ₹15,000 crore. The 3,245‑acre site is expected to create nearly 200,000 direct and indirect jobs. The government holds a 51 percent stake via land, while the central government will fund the industrial corridor’s development. The project work is being carried out under an Engineering, Procurement and Construction model, with tendering completed for water supply and ongoing plans for power infrastructure. Sridhar Babu urged a fourth plug‑and‑play industrial park under BHAVYA to be allocated to Telangana.
