Tempsens Instruments IPO Grey Market Premium Surges Over 100 Percent

· Business · Economic Times, LiveMint, NDTV Profit

Tempsens Instruments India has recorded a grey market premium of ₹301, marking a 102% increase over its IPO price of ₹300 per share in Mumbai. The company is raising approximately ₹650 crore through its public offering, which closed on August 24. On its second day of bidding, the issue was subscribed nearly 22 times overall, with the non-institutional investor portion seeing 53 times subscription. This makes Tempsens Instruments the first IPO in nearly two years to cross a 100% grey market premium milestone, following similar surges by Mamata Machinery and Bajaj Housing Finance in late 2024.

Why it matters

Strong investor subscription and high grey market premiums signal a revival in primary market appetite following a period of muted mainboard listings.
