Tenant Farmers Seek Unsecured Crop Loans Up to ₹2 Lakh

Association leaders submitted a representation to Agriculture Department Special Chief Secretary B. Rajasekhar, noting that many farmers are currently denied loans despite RBI guidelines. They stated that banks are creating hurdles for members of Rythu Mitra Groups and Joint Liability Groups, even those with strong repayment records. The association emphasized that rising cultivation costs necessitate access to these collateral-free loans through Kisan Credit Cards.
