The USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier arrived at Laem Chabang Port in Chonburi province, Thailand, on Wednesday following a record-setting deployment of 286 days at sea. The nine-month mission was spent primarily supporting military operations in the U.S.-Israeli war with Iran in the Middle East. Visible wear, including peeling paint and rusted metal, marked the 1,092-foot warship upon its arrival for a four-day rest and relaxation stop. The strike group's arrival included the destroyer USS Frank E. Petersen Jr. docking in Sriracha and the guided-missile cruiser USS Robert Smalls docking in Map Ta Phut. About 5,000 sailors and Marines are disembarking for shore leave in Pattaya, receiving three liberty days and one day of duty.
