Police in Madhya Pradesh's Narmadapuram district have arrested three men for the gangrape of a 17-year-old girl in the tourist town of Pachmarhi. The incident occurred on August 19, 2026, when the accused abducted the girl and her friend from a bus stop and took them to a nearby forest. According to the police, the primary accused, Hariom Kushwaha, blackmailed the victims using photographs he had taken of them. The other two suspects, Abhishek Vanshkar and Pawan Bansal, were also involved in the crime. All three individuals were detained within six hours of the victim filing a formal complaint on August 23.
