Three Dead, 21 Injured in Karnataka Road Accident

Three women died and 21 others were injured after a pickup vehicle crashed into an electric pole in Karnataka’s Yadgir district on Sunday morning. The victims were agricultural labourers returning to their village near Madnal after working in cotton fields. According to local police, the vehicle was travelling at high speed when the driver lost control near Mandal village at 9:30 am. Fourteen of the injured were referred to Gulbarga for advanced medical care, while seven remain at Shahapur Hospital, including an 11-year-old boy in critical condition. The Bhimarayanagudi police have registered a case under section 106(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
