TNEA 2026: Nearly 60,000 Students Receive Provisional Allotments in Round Two

As many as 59,951 students have received provisional allotments in the second round of Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions 2026. This brings the total number of provisional allotments across the first two rounds to 88,930, according to the TNEA committee. In the second round, 9,967 students secured allotments under the 7.5% horizontal reservation category for government school students, while 49,984 students received general category allotments. Students who obtained provisional allotments through upward movement must join their designated colleges on or before August 27. Meanwhile, choice filling for the third round opened on Monday for 1,02,719 eligible candidates and will remain active until August 19.
