Top Bureaucrats and Officials Receive Notices Under SIR Electoral Revision

Election Commissioner S S Sandhu, SEBI Chairman Tuhin Kanta Pandey, and Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri are among several serving and retired top officials who have received notices under the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls in New Delhi. Notices were issued at the New Moti Bagh polling booth under the Delhi Cantt Assembly constituency for reasons including data discrepancies, unmapped status with the Last SIR, and name mismatches. Other recipients include Principal Scientific Advisor Ajay Kumar Sood, Health Secretary Punya Salila, and former NITI Aayog vice-chairman Arvind Panagariya. A total of 593 individuals received notices at this specific booth where many senior bureaucrats maintain official residences. The Election Commission initiated the process to clean and validate voter data across constituencies.
