Union Home Minister Amit Shah presented the President's Colour to the Goa Police in Panaji, honouring the force for eight decades of service. The award recognises the unit's performance in maintaining security along the state's coastline and ensuring the safety of millions of tourists. During the event, Shah announced that Goa has implemented an AI-powered call agent for the 1930 national cyber fraud helpline to support complaints in multiple languages. The state has also improved its 112 emergency response time from 18 minutes to approximately eight minutes. Additionally, the Home Minister noted that Goa's conviction rate has increased from 23 per cent to 53 per cent following the adoption of new criminal laws.
