Toyota Glanza Facelift Launches October 14 with Baleno-Like Updates
· Automobile · RushLane, Team-BHP
Toyota’s Glanza facelift is set to launch on October 14, following Maruti Suzuki’s Baleno facelift, with both vehicles sharing a badge-engineered platform. The Glanza will retain its unique design elements like projector LED headlights and 16-inch alloy wheels, differentiating it from the Baleno. Key updates include ventilated front seats, Qi wireless charging, Clarion speakers, and Level 2 ADAS with features like auto emergency braking and adaptive cruise control. Under the hood, it will continue using the 1.2L 3-cylinder engine from the Swift and Dzire, offering improved fuel efficiency of up to 6% but with slightly reduced performance compared to the previous 4-cylinder engine. A CNG bi-fuel option is also expected, enhancing cost savings for owners.
Why it matters
Toyota’s Glanza facelift aims to attract buyers seeking advanced safety and comfort features while maintaining affordability, directly competing with rivals like the Tata Altroz and Hyundai i20. The addition of ADAS and CNG options could appeal to safety-conscious and eco-friendly consumers in India’s growing hatchback market.
