Triveni Power Transmission Lists On BSE And NSE After Demerger
· Business · Economic Times
Triveni Power Transmission Ltd has officially listed 10.48 crore equity shares on the BSE and NSE following its demerger from parent company Triveni Engineering & Industries. The move, which became effective on May 19, 2026, allows the company to operate as an independent entity focused on high-speed gearboxes and power transmission equipment. Under the approved scheme, shareholders of the parent firm received one TPTL share for every three shares held as of July 22, 2026. The newly listed shares carry a face value of Rs 2 each. Management stated that the independent structure is intended to improve business focus and provide more transparent performance tracking.
Why it matters
The independent listing provides existing shareholders with direct equity in the specialized power transmission business and allows the company to pursue growth strategies distinct from its parent's sugar operations.
