Trump Links Presidential Power With AI in New White House Pacts

President Donald Trump has formalised close alliances between the White House, the Pentagon, US intelligence agencies, and major artificial intelligence companies. Last Tuesday, the president and six AI CEOs signed what was described as a morally binding agreement establishing a framework for industry self-policing. Tech executives including Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, Jensen Huang, and Dario Amodei participated in the pact, with Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg helping draft the terms. Additionally, the administration ordered government documents to replace all references to artificial intelligence with the term super intelligence. Following the directive, Elon Musk renamed a subsidiary of SpaceX to SpaceXSI. Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth also appointed Musk to a taskforce studying the future of warfare.
