Trump Signals Imminent Decision on Iran, Warning of Easy or Hard Way
· World · India Today, Al Jazeera
US President Donald Trump signaled that a decision on Iran is imminent, warning Tehran that it will face either the easy way or the hard way. Speaking to reporters on Saturday before departing the White House for Ohio, Trump stated that Iran has been decimated and claimed the country is giving up plans to acquire a nuclear weapon. The remarks followed a meeting of top national security advisers at Camp David to discuss US policy options on Iran and the escalating Saudi-Houthi conflict in Yemen. Iranian officials and regional sources report that Tehran is preparing contingency plans for potential renewed US military operations. Senior Iranian commanders have reviewed options to broaden potential targets beyond US-linked assets in the event of a conflict.
Why it matters
