Turkiye Seeks Interpol Red Notice For Netanyahu Over Gaza Flotilla Attack

Turkiye has sought an international arrest warrant and an Interpol red notice for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Turkish Justice Minister Akin Gurlek stated that domestic arrest warrants were issued on July 14 against Netanyahu and 34 other suspects on charges including genocide, crimes against humanity, and torture. The charges stem from Israel's military interception in May of the Global Sumud Flotilla carrying activists toward Gaza in international waters. Israeli forces fired on at least two vessels during the mission, detaining activists before deportation. Israel denies the allegations.
