Two Dead and Five Injured as Ganesh Idol Falls in Mumbai

Two people were killed and five others were injured when a Ganesh idol structure collapsed during an arrival ceremony in south Mumbai on Saturday night. The incident occurred around 10 pm at Jay Ambe Chowk on Balaram Merchant Road in Bhuleshwar as devotees gathered to welcome the Bhuleshwaracha Raja idol. The deceased were identified as 33-year-old Sanket Nevshe and 30-year-old Brijesh Hemant Joshi. Emergency services, including the Mumbai Fire Brigade, Mumbai Police, and local ambulance services, rushed to the scene to assist with relief operations. The five injured individuals, which include two children aged five and seven, were hospitalized and reported to be in stable condition.
