· India · Indian Express, NDTV

The Andhra Pradesh Counter Intelligence Cell arrested two dockyard workers in Visakhapatnam for allegedly sharing sensitive defence information with Pakistan-linked operatives in exchange for money. The latest arrests bring the total number of individuals taken into custody in the naval spying case to four. Investigators allege that 30-year-old Bongu Ravi and 31-year-old Kadari Srinivas, both employees of TD Engineering Company at the Visakhapatnam Naval Dockyard, shared ship and submarine numbers. Police state the two suspects were connected online by a woman using the Facebook profile name Angel Payal. Kadari Srinivas was detained at New Delhi airport on October 11 after flying back from Saudi Arabia following pressure from local authorities.
