· World · Times of India, NDTV

Hardeep Bhachu, 29, was sentenced to 12 years and Jasskamal Riyat, 37, to 16 years in prison after their dangerous driving killed 27-year-old Justyna Hulboj and her four-year-old daughter Lena Czepczor in Leeds in January 2023. Prosecutors told Riyat's trial he was driving at 89mph in a 40mph zone and allegedly racing Bhachu's Audi TT RS in a BMW 1 Series. Both men received six-year driving bans and must pass extended driving tests before driving again. The collision occurred when Bhachu lost control of his vehicle, striking the mother and daughter as they walked to school on Scott Hall Road.
