Two Karnataka Teachers Suspended for Participating in RSS Events

The Education Department in Yadgir district suspended two government schoolteachers for participating in route marches organized by the RSS. Deputy Director of School Education Channabasappa Mudhol issued the suspension orders on August 20 against Gururaj Joshi of Government Girls High School in Hunsagi and Annasaheb Deshmukh of Government Primary School in Kuppi village. The order stated that the teachers attended Pathsanchalan events in Talikote and Hunsagi on October 10 and 12, 2025, constituting a breach of the Karnataka Civil Services Conduct Rules 2021. The disciplinary action followed a formal complaint lodged by Ambedkar Swabhimani Sene district president Jummanna Gudimani with senior state officials. Both teachers are required to adhere to government service protocols throughout their suspension period.
