Two Killed in West Delhi Building Fire Linked to E-Rickshaw Batteries

Two people, including a 17-year-old minor, were killed in a fire at a building in West Delhi’s Raghubir Nagar on Monday morning. The victims, identified as Md Sufed and Md Sahmad from Bihar, were e-rickshaw drivers who were charging portable vehicle batteries on the premises at the time of the blaze. Police and Delhi Fire Services personnel responded to a PCR call, brought the fire under control, and rushed the injured to Guru Gobind Singh Hospital, where they were declared dead. Relatives alleged that negligence involving multiple charging batteries caused a blast. Police stated that the exact cause of the fire remains under investigation.
