Two POCSO Undertrials Escape From Srinagar Central Jail

Two undertrials, Farman Khan and Mukhtar Ahmad Gujjar, escaped from the Central Jail in Srinagar on Sunday. Both men were facing charges under the POCSO Act for penetrative sexual assault. Khan, a resident of Rajasthan, was involved in a case registered at the Lar police station in Ganderbal, while Gujjar, from Anantnag, was linked to a case at the Soura police station in Srinagar. Authorities have launched a massive manhunt and issued look-out notices at all exit points across Kashmir to apprehend the fugitives.
