U.S. Ambassador to India Sergio Gor and Lieutenant General Vikrant Suresh Deshpande witnessed a joint firing demonstration at the Mahajan Field Firing Range in Bikaner on September 24, 2026. The live-fire event formed part of the ongoing bilateral military exercise, 'Yudh Abhyas 2026'. The demonstration featured advanced weaponry including the Pinaka multi-barrel rocket launcher, M777 ultra-light howitzers, Dhanush artillery systems, and AH-64E Apache attack helicopters. The U.S. Army deployed HIMARS and M-LIDS systems to test integrated artillery, aviation, and air-defence capabilities. The exercise aimed to improve tactical coordination and interoperability between the two armed forces.
