U.S. to Hike EB-5 Green Card Filing Fees Starting November

The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services has finalised a rule to more than double filing fees for the EB-5 Immigrant Investor Programme, effective November 30, 2026. The programme grants permanent residency in the United States to foreign investors and their families who invest capital in a commercial enterprise and create 10 full-time jobs for American workers. Under the revised schedule, the filing fee for standalone Form I-526 petitions will rise from $3,675 to $7,615, while regional-centre Form I-526E petitions will increase from $3,675 to $7,850. Charges for regional-centre designations and project approvals will see steeper hikes, moving from $17,795 to over $42,000. The EB-5 pathway remains a primary route for foreign entrepreneurs, including applicants from India, seeking permanent residency through investment.
