Addressing challenges on technology and finance fronts, Vaishnaw noted that AI risks disrupting jobs and services while government debt in rich countries could unravel. He stated that geopolitics plays a major role and that India must adjust its approach as production dependencies shift. The Union Cabinet approved the Semicon 2.0 policy with an outlay of ₹1.27 lakh crore to widen support across the entire semiconductor value chain.
