· Business · LiveMint, Economic Times
United Breweries Ltd (UBL) reported a nearly three-fold year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit for the September quarter of FY27, reaching ₹134.81 crore, up from ₹46.34 crore in the previous year. Revenue from operations grew 23.7% to ₹4,623 crore, while total income rose 24.31% to ₹4,664.33 crore. EBITDA jumped 108% due to strong volume growth, premiumisation, and cost efficiencies. Premium beer volumes, led by Heineken Silver and Kingfisher Ultra, increased by 38%, with Heineken Silver growing 67% and Kingfisher Ultra 44%.
Why it matters
The strong financial performance indicates robust demand for beer, especially premium brands, in the Indian market. This could lead to increased investor confidence and potential expansion plans for UBL, impacting the broader beverage industry and consumer choices.
