Unitree Unveils High-Speed Superman Robot Ahead of Shanghai IPO

Chinese robotics firm Unitree unveiled its new high-speed humanoid robot, dubbed Superman, just days before its scheduled listing on the Shanghai stock market. The robot achieved a top speed of 12.66 metres per second and a standing jump of 2 metres during testing. Unitree, the world's largest producer of bipedal humanoid robots by sales, raised 6.1 billion yuan through an IPO that saw retail investor demand exceed the offering by over 8,000 times. The company, based in Hangzhou, has delivered approximately 18,000 humanoid units as of July. Trading for the company is set to begin in Shanghai this Wednesday.
