UP Police Arrest 19-Year-Old for Promoting Al-Qaeda Ideology

The Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorist Squad arrested 19-year-old Mohammad Nabeel in the Didarganj area of Azamgarh for allegedly promoting Al-Qaeda ideology. Police stated that Nabeel used encrypted WhatsApp groups to recruit individuals and share extremist literature by figures such as Anwar al-Awlaki. Investigators found evidence of bomb-making discussions and the use of code words to plan violent activities. The accused allegedly coordinated with associates to pursue a military conquest of India, known as Ghazwa-e-Hind. He has been charged under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.
