UP Police Investigate Businessman's Fatal Fall From Apartment

Police in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, are investigating the death of 28-year-old restaurant owner Shiva Sharma, who died after falling from the fourth floor of Awadh Green Apartment on October 9, 2026. A post-mortem report recorded 11 external injuries and internal findings including tears in both lungs, liver and spleen damage, internal bleeding, and a pelvic fracture, with doctors attributing death to shock and haemorrhage. Sharma's mother, Ranjana Sharma, lodged a police complaint accusing his girlfriend, model Shraddha Dubey, her sister, and associates of assault and murder. Hazratganj police registered an FIR based on the complaint and are examining CCTV footage, witness statements, and conducting searches across Rae Bareli and Sitapur. Investigators have not yet established whether Sharma jumped, fell accidentally, or was pushed.
