US Air Force Deploys Collaborative Combat Aircraft in Nevada

The US Air Force has delivered its first two Collaborative Combat Aircraft, General Atomics' YFQ-42A and Anduril's YFQ-44A, to Creech Air Force Base in Nevada. These uncrewed, semi-autonomous fighters are designed to operate alongside manned aircraft to improve situational awareness and reduce risks in contested environments. The delivery follows an accelerated acquisition programme that included Anduril's live-fire test of an AIM-120 missile from the YFQ-44A in July. Both aircraft have met mission requirements and are cleared for full-scale production to support Air Combat Command-led experimentation.
