· Technology · Hindustan Times, Reuters

The US Department of Justice has arrested two Americans, Michael James Bostelle of Pennsylvania and Juan Cecilio Pena Carrillo of Texas, for allegedly operating laptop farms to support North Korean IT workers. The scheme involved using stolen identities to secure fraudulent employment at over 70 US companies, generating at least $3 million for the North Korean government. The FBI seized 187 devices during searches at more than 40 residences in Texas between September 21 and September 25. An indictment also charged ten China-based operators for their roles in managing the network, which aimed to bypass security and access sensitive company data.
