Uttar Pradesh and Japan Launch ₹3,191 Crore Manufacturing Projects

The Uttar Pradesh government and Japanese firms have launched manufacturing projects worth ₹3,191 crore, aiming to create over 10,000 jobs. Escorts Kubota and Minda Corporation held a virtual ground-breaking ceremony for these facilities during the UP–Japan Investment Meet 2026 in New Delhi. The projects are located in the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) region and are intended to anchor a proposed Japanese City near the Noida International Airport. Union Ministers Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Ashwini Vaishnaw attended the event, encouraging Japanese companies to expand their presence in sectors including semiconductors, green hydrogen, and defence.
