Uzbekistan Announces Visa-Free Entry For Indian Citizens For 30 Days

Uzbekistan has introduced a visa-free entry policy allowing Indian citizens to stay in the country for up to 30 days. The policy was announced by Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev during delegation-level talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Tashkent on August 30, during a two-day state visit. The initiative is designed to strengthen travel, trade, and cultural ties between India and Uzbekistan. The arrangement enables Indian travellers to plan visits to historic Silk Road cities such as Samarkand and Bukhara with greater flexibility. Uzbek authorities have advised travellers to verify the final implementation date and entry requirements before booking their trips.
