Fifteen-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi scored 92 runs off 81 balls for East Zone against Central Zone on Day 2 of the Duleep Trophy semifinal at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru on Monday. In doing so, the left-handed opener became the youngest player to score a fifty in the tournament at 15 years and 157 days old, breaking Laxman Singh's 1969 record. His innings included seven boundaries and seven sixes before he was dismissed in the 25th over. His aggressive knock helped East Zone match Central Zone's first-innings total.
