Veteran actor Nana Patekar died at the age of 75 at Manipal Hospital in Goa on Thursday. According to his son Malhar Patekar, a medical team was dispatched to the actor's flat after he experienced severe chest pain. Responding medics found him unresponsive and attempted resuscitation before transporting him to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 5:20 am. Police registered the incident as a medico-legal case, and a post-mortem examination is expected to establish the exact circumstances of his death. Patekar debuted in films with Gaman in 1978 and earned three National Film Awards alongside a Padma Shri in 2013 for his contributions to cinema.
