Vinod Kapri's Film Pyre Set for Theatrical Release Across India on October 23

National Award-winning filmmaker Vinod Kapri’s film Pyre will release theatrically across India on October 23, 2026. Set in the Kumaon Himalayas, the movie features debutants Padam Singh Kapri and Heera Devi in lead roles as an ageing couple dealing with migration and family separation. The film is produced by Vinod Kapri, Suresh Joshi, and Arindra Rai Chaudhuri under Bhagirathi Films and Mashakbeen Studios. Pyre previously earned 18 international awards following its world premiere at the 28th Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival. Cinépolis will handle the theatrical distribution across the country.
