When Man City call you don't say no - Ndiaye

· Sports · BBC Sport

Iliman Ndiaye has completed a £60 million transfer from Everton to Manchester City on deadline day. The 26-year-old forward made his debut for the club in a 1-0 Premier League victory over Coventry last weekend. Ndiaye stated he chose the move to play for one of the world's top teams and participate in the Champions League. Although a deal with Tottenham appeared likely, the move stalled after they failed to sell Richarlison. Ndiaye previously played for Sheffield United and Marseille before joining Everton in 2024.

Why it matters

The transfer significantly strengthens Manchester City's attacking options for their Champions League and Premier League campaigns, while Everton loses a key player who scored 17 goals over two seasons.
